Parv Bancil (7 February 1967 – 1 April 2017) was a British-Asian playwright and actor. Life and career. Parveen Singh Bancil was born in Moshi, Tanzania, in 1967 into an Indian Sikh family, [1] [2] the son of Sohan Singh Bancil and Amrit (Arjan) Kaur Bancil.

Parv Bancil. Writer: Spirit. In 1986 aged 19, Bancil joined HAC theater. One of four professional British Asian theater companies at the time, HAC was the only one to be telling stories from a 2nd generation British Asian perspective.
Following a job as the stage manager for the Hounslow Art Co-operative (HAC Theatre), Bancil began to produce his own work. His first play, Curse of the Dead Dog, was co-written with Ravinder Gill. His humorous and often satirical plays highlight the experiences of the British-Asian community.
