Priscilla Chan y su marido Mark Zuckerberg han anunciado planes para erradicar las enfermedades humanas en 2100. Su proyecto prevé utilizar 1.000 GPU para crear una base de datos masiva de células sanas y enfermas.
Por ello, la Iniciativa Chan Zuckerberg (CZI, por sus siglas en inglés) apoya a 16 grupos científicos de todo el mundo para recabar información molecular a nivel de células individuales en diferentes poblaciones, hasta ahora poco representadas en el Atlas Mundial de Células Humanas.
