To understand the gist of the Boston-based quartet, think of them as a clever combo of two legendary bits of video spoofery: This Is Spinal Tap, the 1984 Rob Reiner-directed classic, and Blackadder the Third, the 1987 BBC series set in 18th- and 19th-century England starring Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie and Tony Robinson.
The Upper Crust is an American hard rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. The members adopt the personae of 18th-century aristocratic fops and sing songs from that perspective. They use titles of nobility, wear powdered wigs and period costumes, and maintain a snobbish attitude both during live performance and on their albums.

Following a 2000 live double album appropriately called Entitled, the Upper Crust released their third studio album, Once More into the Breeches, in 2001. Amid frequent tours of the U.S. and Europe, the band was the subject of a documentary called Let Them Eat Rock and placed their song "Eureka, I've Found Love" in the Guitar Hero video game.
