Producido por Al Kooper (Blood, Sweat & Tears) y grabado en Studio One, Doraville, Georgia y Record Plant Studios, ubicado entonces en Nueva York, Second Helping es una obra de ocho composiciones, dos de las cuales, “Don’t Ask Me No Questions y “Sweet Home Alabama”, fueron publicadas como sencillos.
