Don't Come Around Here No More. " Don't Come Around Here No More " is a song written by Tom Petty of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics. It was released in February 1985 as the lead single from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Southern Accents album.
Unlike most Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers songs, this one has female backing vocals that wend their way through it. Two of these singers were Stevie Nicks' backing vocalists: Marilyn Martin and Sharon Celani (Martin had a huge hit with the Phil Collins duet "Separate Lives").
