Raydio is an American funk and R&B vocal group formed in 1977 by Ray Parker Jr., with Vincent Bonham, Jerry Knight, and Arnell Carmichael. In 1978 Charles Julian Fearing and Larry “Fatback” Tolbert joined the band, along with Darren Carmichael.
Like the two albums that came before it, it again features 8 tracks; one of them, "Until The Morning Comes" was written by Parker and vocalist Arnell Carmichael. For another song, "Tonight's The Night", Parker teamed up with famed keyboard player Herbie Hancock , and Hancock received a co-writing credit.

Arnell started touring the nation at age 10 with his family band the Carmichael Movement. Carmichael joined Raydio in 1977 and would go on to enjoy the success of 4 Gold Records during the time frame of 1978 through 1982 including a platinum record for his contributions.
Rock On is the second album by Raydio, led by guitarist/songwriter/producer Ray Parker Jr. issued in March 1979 on Arista Records. The album reached No. 4 on the US Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and No. 45 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Rock On was also certified Gold in the US by the RIAA.
