CONCEPTION is my second solo album for trumpet, cornet and electronic effects. "This time it was recorded at the place where I practice and work - at Jarek Hejmann's place at MADZONGA Rec. in Bydgoszcz. It was all about the sense of constancy and the effect of lack of tension during the recording.
In 2001 Variété started rehearsing with a new drummer – Jarek Hejmann, known from the band Dubska. Nowy Material (EMI Music Poland, 2005) was released in 2005. One of the co-founders of Variété – Wojtek Woźniak – left the band in 2006. He was replaced by Tomasz Krzemiński (Neuma).
Most of the tracks were remixed by Jarek Hejmann of MADZONGA Studio, only one was done by the band's composer and pianist, Jacek Cichocki.
