Oedipus Schmoedipus is an album by the English musician Barry Adamson, released in 1996. Like Adamson's previous albums, Oedipus Schmoedipus was conceived as a soundtrack to an imaginary film. The album peaked at No. 51 on the UK Albums Chart. "Something Wicked This Way Comes" appears in the David Lynch film Lost Highway.
The journey of Oedipus Schmoedipus opens and closes with ‘Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Pelvis’, a propulsive fusion of rock, gospel and funk featuring guest artist Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker on lead vocal.

dreadnowt Feb 16 2023. Dark and mysterious, experimental, rhythmic, soulful from an unusual place. Adamson has his own thing – and it is a good one.
