It is the band's only studio album to feature keyboardist Derek Sherinian, following the departure of Kevin Moore in 1994.

Tras una intro atmosférica muy apoyada en los teclados, las guitarras de Petrucci cogen el mando y empujan el tema con un bestial riff a una primera parte dura y rápida donde las voces de LaBrie se enfrentan y doblan con las de Doug Pinnick (King’s X) en el estribillo.
