Delfeayo Marsalis ( / ˈdɛl fiː oʊ /; born July 28, 1965) [ 1] is an American jazz trombonist, record producer and educator. Life and career. Marsalis was born in New Orleans, the son of Dolores (née Ferdinand) and Ellis Louis Marsalis, Jr., a pianist and music professor. [ 2] .
Acclaimed trombonist, composer, and producer, Delfeayo Marsalis has also dedicated his prolific career to music theatre and education.
