The Science of Breath is a 2002 album by Sandro Perri under the name Polmo Polpo. Fusing Dark Ambient and Ambient Techno music, the record was well-received critically. It was followed in 2003 by Like Hearts Swelling. The album cover is adorned with an underwater photo of an octopus.
The Science of Breath, featuring tracks culled from these records, was released in 2002 by Alien 8 Recordings; the official Polmo Polpo debut album, entitled Like Hearts Swelling, was released in 2003 on Constellation Records.
