Kate McGarrigle (Montreal, Quebec, 6 de febrero de 1946 – ibíd., 18 de enero de 2010 [1] [2] ) fue una cantautora canadiense. Formaba grupo con su hermana Anna y era la madre de Rufus y Martha Wainwright , hijos que tuvo con su exmarido, Loudon Wainwright III , quien también es músico.
Kate McGarrigle CM (February 6, 1946 – January 18, 2010) was a Canadian folk music singer-songwriter, who wrote and performed as a duo with her sister Anna McGarrigle. She is the mother of singers Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright from her marriage to American singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III, which ended in divorce.
