Sinopsis: Hale interpreta a un sargento de la marina no muy brillante al que se le ordena tomar un largo descanso antes de someterse a una operación seria. Por razones que sólo él conoce, "Sarge" decide que un campus universitario es el lugar ideal para buscar paz y tranquilidad.
When Capt. Russ Morgan, who leads the band at the San Diego Marine Base, learns that post-combat surgery required by Sarge, a fellow Marine, has been suddenly postponed, he and his superior, Col. Winters, go to see Capt. R. S. Handler at the base's hospital.
Story. A Marine Sergeant, wounded in overseas service, requires an operation, and the Navy psychiatrist recommends to the Captain and Colonel that "Sarge" be given a few weeks rest before hospitalization. Through the Dean of San Juan Junior College, Sarge enters the school on a temporary basis.
