Tales of Ephidrina is an ambient/techno album by electronica duo Amorphous Androgynous, better known as The Future Sound of London (FSOL). It was released on 5 July 1993 through Quigley Records, a subsidiary label of Virgin.
Amorphous Androgynous. One of the Future Sound Of London's most well-known aliases. Used for their early-1990's album Tales Of Ephidrina and their more recent releases The Isness (2002), Alice In Ultraland (2005) and The Peppermint Tree & The Seeds Of Superconsciousness (2008).
Background. The Future Sound of London began work on the album around the same time as they were finishing Tales of Ephidrina, and the more complex, ambient direction they were taking resulted in Lifeforms. Often considered to be a sister album to their Lifeforms 2xCD album (under their Future Sound of London alias) but honestly Tales of Ephridrina is a completely different experience when you listen to it.
