July 3, 1978 William Ellis Secondary School (Suggs was in the audience watching. The gig, a free concert for all the kids in the school, was co-arranged by William Ellis pupil Mark Bedford, the replacement bassist for Gavin Rodgers. Mark brings along a new drummer, Garry Dovey. After a successful audition, John Hasler takes over vocals from Suggs.
