  2. Madras College, often referred to as Madras, is a Scottish comprehensive secondary school located in St Andrews, Fife. It educates over 1,400 pupils aged between 11 and 18 and was founded in 1833 by the Rev. Dr Andrew Bell.

  3. Madras College takes its name from the system of education devised by the school's founder the Rev Dr Andrew Bell. He was born in St Andrews in 1753, the son of a local magistrate and wig-maker.

  4. Madras College is a co-educational, non-denominational, 6-year comprehensive Secondary school of approximately 1370 learners from across the St Andrews and Bridgehead catchment area. We recognise that all of our learners are individuals and we strive to provide a high level of care and additional support for all.

  5. The former secondary school building and grounds were acquired from Fife Council in 2021 and Madras College relocated to a new purpose-built building at Bell Brae, on the outskirts of St Andrews, in August of that year.
