Stewart's Melville College (SMC) is a private day and boarding school in Edinburgh, Scotland. Classes are all boys in the 1st to 5th years and co-educational in Sixth (final) year. It has a roll of about 750 pupils.

Our History. Stewart’s Melville College is the result of the merger of Daniel Stewart’s College and Melville College in 1973. We are building our digital archives to preserve the history of Stewart’s Melville College for future generations.
ESMS is a family of independent schools for children aged 3-18 in Edinburgh. We offer a co-educational Junior School, single-sex but closely twinned secondary education for boys and girls and a co-educational Sixth Form.
We are a diamond school with a co-educational Junior School. Boys move into Stewart’s Melville College for the early years of secondary school where teachers understand how to motivate and nurture boys so that they thrive.
Stewart’s Melville College is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 11-18 years. The College was formed in 1972, when two of Edinburgh's premier boys' schools merged: Daniel Stewart's College and Melville College. Education at SMC is about individual children.
