Beryl Cyril "Jack" Sheldon Jr. (November 30, 1931 – December 27, 2019) was an American singer, actor, comedian, and one of the most distinctive trumpet players of his generation, with an immediately identifiable sound.

In 2002 he was showcased on “A Jazz Musician’s Christmas” which finds him singing some very truthful lyrics about the real (and not so glamorous) life of a jazz musician, a lifestyle full of ups and downs. Sheldon’s singing and his concise trumpet solo, which are accompanied by the rhythm section from the Tom Kubis Orchestra, are timeless.
