Johannes Hendrikus Jacob van den Berg (born 22 March 1946), better known as his stage name Harry Vanda, is an Australian musician, songwriter and record producer.
Harry Vanda (nacido como Johannes Herdrikus Jacob van dan Berg, 22 de marzo de 1946) es un músico, escritor y productor australiano de origen holandés. Es conocido principalmente por ser miembro de la banda australiana de rock The Easybeats.
Following its success, the band struggled to maintain international recognition. Compounded by financial and contractual issues, drug use and the increasing independence of guitarists and songwriters Harry Vanda and George Young, they returned to Australia in 1969 amid declining popularity back home and subsequently disbanded.

Vanda werd geboren als Johannes Jacob Hendrickus van den Berg, zoon van een Nederlandse vader en een Poolse moeder. Vader vond werk als mess-bediende bij de Koninklijke Luchtmacht op het vliegveld Ypenburg. Vanda groeide op in Rijswijk.
Vanda & Young were an Australian songwriting and producing duo composed of Harry Vanda [1] and George Young. [2] They performed as members of 1960s Australian rock group the Easybeats where Vanda was their lead guitarist and backing singer and Young was their rhythm guitarist and backing singer.
