Michael Edward Mills (Orange County, California, 17 de diciembre de 1958), conocido como Mike Mills, es un músico estadounidense, exbajista de la banda R.E.M., principalmente conocido por encargarse del bajo y del piano, pero también en ocasiones instrumentos de percusión, cuerdas y teclados.
Michael Edward Mills (born December 17, 1958) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who was a founding member of the alternative rock band R.E.M. Though known primarily as the bass guitarist and backing vocalist of R.E.M., his musical repertoire also includes keyboards, guitar and occasional lead vocals.
Michael Chadbourne Mills (born March 20, 1966) is an American film and music video director, writer and graphic designer. He made his directorial debut with the independent film Thumbsucker (2005). His followup films include Beginners (2010), 20th Century Women (2016), and C'mon, C'mon (2021).

Along with former R.E.M. bandmate Peter Buck, he's been involved with The Baseball Project, which formed around 2007.According to WBUR, the band also boasts members of fellow college radio sweethearts the Dream Syndicate and the Young Fresh Fellows, and features Josh Kantor, renowned organist at Fenway Park.
