Psalm 41[ a] For the director of music. A psalm of David. 1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. 2 The Lord protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. 3 The Lord sustains them on their sickbed.
Psalm 41. King James Version. 41 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. 2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
41 Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him; 2 the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies. 3 The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.

1 God always blesses those who are kind to the poor and helpless. They’re the first ones God helps. when they find themselves in any trouble. 2 The Lord will preserve and protect them. They’ll be honored and esteemed. while their enemies are defeated. 3 When they are sick, lying upon their bed of suffering, God will restore them.

Upon reflection, he who considers the poor – that is, the weak, helpless, and poor – is a broad measure of the righteous man or woman. · He who considers the poor trusts God, willing to give from his own resources. · He who considers the poor is kind to those in need.
