  2. Sandown Bay Academy, formerly Sandown High School, was an academy status secondary school located in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, England. From 2012 to 31 August 2018 it was sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust. On 31 August 2018, the academy closed.

Your child’s education is as important to us as it is to you and we are relentless in our pursuit of building a cohesive culture and curriculum that matches the varied needs of our students.

  6. At KS5 our curriculum is designed to enable students to choose to study a range of subjects at A-Level or Level 3 vocational courses. Full qualifications are usually achieved after two years and students choose four subjects to study at the start of Year 12.

  7. English - Sandown Bay Academy. Our aim for our students is to ensure that they become effective communicators: that they are able to express their thoughts, views and ideas coherently and concisely. We want the overwhelming majority to leave with a grade C or higher in English language and have a reading age that matches their chronological age.
