4 de dic. de 2017 · Drummer Jon Kleiman and bassist Joe Calandra were vets of the NJ hardcore scene who brought a visceral energy to the songs. By the members’ own telling, the quartet was purposely being reactionary in crafting music on Spine of God that sounded like something from another era, though not any single specific era.
Al trío, que llegó a grabar solo en casete el disco “We’re Stoned, What Are You Going To Do About It?” en el año 1989 y el EP “Forget About Life, I’m High On Dope” (1989), se le unió el bajista Joe Calandra y el batería Jon Kleiman (Watch Children) para conformar un quinteto.
Joe Calandra is known for Trapped (2008), Monster Magnet: Powertrip (1999) and Jandamarra's War (2011).
Su último álbum con A&M Records fue God Says No (2000). Después de él, Joe Calandra y Jon Kleiman dejaron el grupo por conflictos internos con Wyndorf, y fueron reemplazados por Jim Baglino y Bob Pantella respectivamente.
