Kyushu Tokai University (九州東海大学, Kyūshū tōkai daigaku) was a private university in Kumamoto, Kumamoto, Japan. The school was established in 1964 as a junior college and became a four-year college (School of Engineering) in 1973.
Kyushu Tokai University has 7 campuses spread throughout Japan. Each has a unique combination of schools and departments together with a range of support services for students. Tokai University (東海大学, Tōkai Daigaku) is a private non-sectarian higher education institution located in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded by Dr. Shigeyoshi Matsumae . It was accredited under Japan's old educational system in 1946 and under the new system in 1950.

Five of the campuses are on the central island of Honshu, which is home to the Japanese capital Tokyo, while two campuses are on the island of Hokkaido and the other is on Kyushu. There are 21 undergraduate schools at Tokai and all courses at this level are taught in Japanese.
