Dreams of Love (French: Rêves d'amour) is a 1947 French historical drama film directed by Christian Stengel and starring Pierre Richard-Willm, Mila Parély and Annie Ducaux. It portrays the life of the composer Franz Liszt. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Alexandre Trauner and Robert Gys.
With Pierre Richard-Willm, Mila Parély, Annie Ducaux, Louis Seigner. The story follows Franz Liszt from his time as an intense young music teacher in Paris, to his blossoming as a piano virtuoso and his infatuation for the Countess Marie D'Agoult, married and the mother of two young girls.
Paris, 1833. The famous composer Franz Liszt is friends with Chopin who introduces him to Countess Marie d'Agout. Very quickly Liszt falls in love and she, who is already married and has two children, abandons honor and reputation to follow him. They leave to live a great passion in Italy.
