Jowe Head (born Stephen Bird) is a British guitarist, singer, and visual artist, who was a member of Swell Maps before joining the Television Personalities. He has also released a large amount of material as a solo artist and as leader of groups such as Househunters and Palookas.
Jowe Head is a musician and artist from the Midlands of England, now living in Hackney, in east London. He started his musical career in his home town of Solihull with various school friends in 1972, a project that came to be known as Swell Maps.

Aviator's Lullabye Screeches, Scribbles, and Scrawls is a new multi-media project by British artist Jowe Head. Fundamental to the London art rock scene, Jowe has a dizzying discography as bandleader of The Palookas, The Househunters, Angel Racing Food, Infernal Contraption, Eleventh Hour Adventists, and Jowe Head and the Demi-Monde, among others.
