Local Ground 2005 - Local Ground is Altan's 10th studio album in the 20 years since they first came together as a band. Their musical friendships have been forged and proven in innumerable kitchen and pub sessions in Ireland and subsequently on folk club and concert hall stages throughout the world.

Dónal Lunny (born 10 March 1947) is an Irish folk musician and producer. He plays guitar and bouzouki, as well as keyboards and bodhrán.

17 de may. de 2021 · Donal Lunny has been a consistent and hugely influential presence in the emergence of Irish traditional music over the past five decades. As a founding member of both Planxty and The Bothy Band, his unique approach has altered the genre's sound forever.
Dónal co-founded Mulligan Records and produced 17 albums for the label. Since then he has produced tracks for, and collaborated on albums with Kate Bush, Mark Knopfler, Indigo Girls, Clannad, and Baaba Maal among others.
Produced by Dónal Lunny, the album began their longtime partnership with Green Linnet Records and featured accompaniment by Ciarán Curran on bouzouki, Mark Kelly on guitar, and Mairéad's sister Anna Ní Mhaonaigh, then a member of the all-woman group Macella.
