Born in Paris, France, the son of painters Robert Delaunay and Sonia Delaunay, Charles Delaunay was one of the founders of the Hot Club de France. Together with Hugues Panassié he initiated the Quintette du Hot Club de France with Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.

Charles Delaunay, né le 18 janvier 1911 à Paris et mort le 16 février 1988 à Vineuil-Saint-Firmin, est un auteur, critique musical, producteur et agent artistique français. Présent dès 1933 parmi les responsables du Hot Club de France, il crée le label Swing en 1937 et est un des trois fondateurs du label Vogue en 1947-1948.
