Anglin Buttimore, a popular and well-known musician and sound engineer, died last week, aged 65. With his passing he has left behind a lifetime of memories and recollections for the hundreds of friends, fellow musicians and band members he has played and worked alongside, as well as the thousands of people he has helped entertain.

And, as unlikely as it sounds, he believes that his experiences spent playing in the pubs around the island in his mid-teens with Spectrum, alongside the well-known figure of keyboardist and soundman Anglin Buttimore, were instrumental in his success as a professional musician.
One of the three music stages placed along the promenade during the Peel Carnival was rechristened the ’Anglin Buttimore’ stage, in memory of the late musician and sound engineer Anglin Buttimore, who died earlier this year.
