Thorsten Quaeschning (born 23 February 1977) is a German musician. He is the bandleader of the electronic music group Tangerine Dream which he joined in 2005. He was chosen to continue as leader of the group by founder Edgar Froese shortly before his death in 2015.

In 2013, two years before Edgar Froese's death, he put him in charge as the Musical Director of the band.
