Hace 2 días · On June 8 and 9, 1982, English punk band The Clash shot the video for '80s anthem “Rock the Casbah” in Austin. It wasn't their first encounter with the Lone Star State. While rival Sex Pistols booked a Texas tour in 1978 to start fights and make headlines, it was their genuine affection for Buddy Holly, Texas rockabilly and Western mythology that attracted Joe Strummer and The Clash.
