GG Allin's "mission" might be your idea of edgy, but it takes a bit more depth to appreciate true artistic innovation. Stick to the shallow end of the punk pool, it seems like it's the only depth you can handle.
I was a mere infant when GG died, but it shows a side of the 90s that I certainly was never exposed to. Something raw and real about it. I can’t put my finger on it, but something about it just gives me nostalgic vibes of the 90s even though I was as far removed from GG Allin or the punk scene as you could possibly be as a child of the 90s.
Like if you picked out some random person walking around in 1992 and asked them if they had ever heard of GG Allin, would 99% say no? ... They used to write about GG in Maximum Rock n Roll, which was sold everywhere. So if you liked hardcore, you would have heard of him.
