    Scarlett 2i2 does not show up in playback device. So I download the latest driver for the device installed the Focusrite Control app and restart my laptop. When I plugged it in my USB port the light of the device just flashed up for 2 seconds and remain black entirely.

    The way I found to fix it is to change Sample Rate or Buffer Size on Focusrite Control to a different value, and then change back to the original value. Also apparently out of nowhere, sometimes output audio just can't be heard anymore.
