Additionally, it was the first style of rap to feature true tongue twisting.
Simply put, Horrorcore is a sub-genre of hip hop with lyrics and imagery that focus on the darker side of things — death, mental illness, the supernatural, etc.

Some horrorcore stands out to me as not only particularly dark but having good beats, like "Devil's Son" by Big L. I would even consider "Kim" by Eminem to be a classic of this style. Anyone got any recs?
