Hace 6 días · Damnation :: Wouter's Opeth collection. This is an incredible album with some of the most beautiful tracks written by Mikael. He wrote this album in dedication to his grandmother. It was the most favorite Opeth-album from the grandmother of Ellis, my wife. Especially "Hope Leaves" is the most emotional song for me in the whole discography.

Band: Opeth - La parabola iniziata nelle schegge riproposte in edizione ristampata di ‘Blackwater Park’ sono ormai da vedere come parte integrante della faccia acustica di Opeth. Rispetto a ‘Still Day Beneath The Sun’ e ‘Poison In The Ivy II’ sono cresciute.
Damnation is one of Opeth's lesser albums. The songs are great, but the overall package feels underwhelming when stacked against their other albums, like maybe it'd feel more substantial with one or two additional tracks.
I feel like that where Deliverance is on the Opeth timeline oftentimes sees it be overlooked, as it’s sandwiched right between their two most iconic albums, Blackwater Park and Damnation. But damnit this album deserves more praise than it gets.
