Official overview. Off the coast of Northrend, Horde and Alliance forces are locked in an epic struggle for a tiny island rich in resources. Known as the Isle of Conquest, this rocky battleground's proximity to Icecrown makes it a highly prized base in the war against the Lich King.
Isle of Conquest is a 40v40 battleground added in Wrath. It similar to AV because it is won by defeating the enemy's general or destroying all of their reinforcements (which start at 300). Players reach the enemy's general by destroying the gates, which only take damage from bombs or vehicles, not players.

The Isle of Conquest is the newest battleground that was added to WoW. It was added during patch 3.2 and is best described as an Alterac Valley with siege vehicles. Isle of Conquest's terrain is similar to Bloodmyst Isle's terrain, the Draenei starting area.
