3 de jun. de 2024 · John Morgan replaced Moreve prior to recording. The group’s debut album included the song Born to be Wild which reached number 2 in the US and UK charts. This rebellious anthem was written by Dennis Edmonton (Mars Bonfire), guitarist in Sparrow and brother of drummer Jerry.
30 de may. de 2024 · The group was formed in 1968 in Los Angeles by vocalist John Kay, guitarist Michael Monarch, bassist Rushton Moreve, keyboardist Goldy McJohn and drummer Jerry Edmonton after the dissolution of Toronto group The Sparrows, formed by John Kay in the early 60s, of which only Moreve was not a member.
