Hace 3 días · The sonatas K 296 and K 378 were composed in 1778 the former and in 1779 the latter, while in 1781 the sonatas K 376, 377, 379, 380 were composed. Mozart having moved to Vienna in the same year, this work represents the first important chamber work published in the new city, the composer's calling card for his new audience.
3 de may. de 2024 · All 16 of Mozart’s mature violin sonatas were also published during his lifetime. The first 12 of these, dating from the composer’s late Salzburg and early Vienna years, were published in two sets of six sonatas each, and originally bore the recycled opus numbers 1 and 2. The Opus 1 set (K. 301–306) dates from early 1778.

Hace 5 días · Mozart has doubts about the musicality of the French. He has a bad opinion of the French and he is against French singers, against French music taste. His first six sonatas (301-306) are published in Paris. On his father’s suggestion Mozart tries to adapt his pieces to French taste. "…I don’t care about the Parisian applause..."
