Hace 1 día · In 1984, Cash released a self-parody recording titled "The Chicken in Black" about Cash's brain being transplanted into a chicken and Cash receiving a bank robber's brain in return. Biographer Robert Hilburn, in his 2013 book Johnny Cash: The Life , disputes the claim made that Cash chose to record an intentionally poor song in protest of Columbia's treatment of him.
