20/20 is an album i feel is extremely weak in the BB lineage - id go as far as calling it their first ‘bad’ record. sandwiched between Friends and Sunflower is a tough place to be, and I feel like the material on 20/20 is really scatterbrained and unfocused. like, there’s three covers, random bruce instrumental, and random songs cherry-picked from other album sessions. i feel like with ...
26 de may. de 2024 · Friends and 20/20 were barely talked about. Surf’s Up got very little time and I didn’t see much discussion of Sunflower. Admittedly, I don’t know as much about the post-Brian era of the band and I wanted to get an education on it in this documentary, and I didn’t really get that, which is a shame.
