Through his connections there, he had his new moniker, Elton Motello, debut on the Belgian label Pinball with the single "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" in 1977. The song was backed by session musicians Mike Butcher (guitar), John Valcke (bass), and Bob Dartsch (drums), instead of Elton Motello's regular musicians.

  6. The instrumental was written by the guitar player for the Damned and it was used by two different bands, one in England and one in France. The French one was Ca Plane Pour Moi. The English one was "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" by Elton Motello, which imo is the better song, but it was less of a hit.
