In 2019, the Criterion Collection issued a Blu-ray with a new transfer of Blue Velvet that, per the disc’s liner notes, was created in 16-bit 4K resolution from the 35mm A/B negative and supervised by David Lynch. This 4K release offers the same 4K transfer in its native form, improving upon the already superb 2019 disc.
