In Rolling Stone, critic Dave Marsh called it "the best American rock & roll of the year". The album also featured the first Ramones single to enter the Billboard charts (albeit only as high as number 81): "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker".

11 de may. de 2024 · Rocket to Russia by Ramones (1977) This is a very solid rock album. That should be obvious by the fact that the Ramones made it. Possibly my favourite thing about this album was the bass. The bass couldn’t be recognised as any other band’s bass and it truly sticks out as exceptional on the album.
