Read Patty's book, also called Hit So Hard. She was constantly shooting up and admits to her own issues during that era, including management paying for her rehab multiple times. She was homeless because she left rehab in favor of doing drugs.

I loved the screaming and the swearing and the anger. But as a 15 year old girl who hated the world I of course felt unseen. Now I see I was seen. Thanks Patty Schemel!

Using AI and other tools I manage to peel back the layers in 'Asking For It' and reveal Kurt Cobain's buried backing vocal. I was initially aiming to make a mock-up of the alternate mix and had isolated the vocals from the album version when I suddenly was able to make out Kurt's backing vocal.
