I was wondering if the movie accurately portrays historical events, especially the massive hand-to-hand fight scene. It seems too horrific to be true. I feel it's one of those movies that isn't realistic per se but conveys a very realistic emotion. The fighting at Passchendaele was done on a very diverse battlefield.

7 de jun. de 2024 · The Battle of Passchendaele in 1917 is often remembered as a dismal and dreadful campaign. Fighting over endless mud, waterlogged shell-holes and unrecognizable, bombed out ground, the battle became a slog where everybody was just miserable.
