This whole movie felt like it was the ultimate fantasy of horny, music nerds. Obviously times have changed, but I don’t know how this wouldn’t have been eye rolling and weird even in 2009-and it seems it was based on how hard it bombed. Just a mess all around.

The Boat That Rocked. Kenneth Branagh is fucking hilarious in this film, Philip Seymour Hoffman is stellar as per usual and shines, Rhys Ifans plays the coolest mf alive and Bill Nighy is awesome as always. Nick Frost, Rhys Darby, Chris O’Dowd, Tom Brooke and Jack Davenport are all hilarious too. I love this film. Add a Comment.
