13 de may. de 2024 · At the Turonian–Coniacian, several other clades become extinct, such as rebbachisaurids, non-titanosaurian titanosauriforms, as well as the larger titanosaurian forms (such as Argentinosaurus and Patagotitan), and even some theropods (spinosaurids and carcharodontosaurids) (Novas et al. 2013, Poropat et al. 2022).
18 de may. de 2024 · Argentinosaurus Huinculensis. Named Huinculensis after the district of Plaza Huincul where its fossil remains were found, in the Province of Neuquen. This is the largest herbivorous dinosaur found so far. Its size is even larger than the "Carolinii", which was a carnivore. It belongs to the Mid Cretaceous period.

Spinosaurid fossils have been recovered worldwide, including Africa, Europe, South America and Asia. Their remains have generally been attributed to the Early to Mid Cretaceous . Spinosaurids were large bipedal carnivores.
