Hace 23 horas · Con la muerte de Bear se cerró definitivamente el ciclo de Canned Heat, a él y a Alan Wilson se debía la gran ascensión y el gran peso de la banda sobre la escena musical de los años sesenta y setenta. Antes que músicos, Bob y Alan, fueron grandes apasionados, dos profundos conocedores del blues.

16 de may. de 2024 · Bob Hite nicknamed “The Bear” was the lead singer of Canned Heat from the time that it first formed in 1965 with Alan Wilson and Henry Vestine. He was born in Torrance, California in 1943 and was influenced by the blues.

Formed in 65, they are best known for their hits “Going Up The Country”, “On The Road Again” and their cover of Wilbert Harrison’s “Let’s Work Together.” They played legendary festivals like Woodstock.
