Tonight’s line up was a basic trio with Giant Sand veteran Tommy Larkins on drums and Brian Lopez on bass guitar (his first outing on such it appears) while Gelb slashed and burned on guitar.

Ward has collaborated with the likes of Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis in Monsters of Folk, with Zooey Deschanel in She & Him, and on stage and records with First Aid Kit, Neko Case, and Howe Gelb of Giant Sand. During the pandemic, he revisited his love for radio resulting in a beautifully written record.
