Known to stand out from the rest of their delirious funky compositions, Maggot Brain has nevertheless become one of the most emblematic of the group. So much so that it is the track that many would evoke if someone quoted Funkadelic. Its composer, Eddie Hazel, was only seventeen years old when he composed this piece.
Actually, when I recently lost my favorite aunt, A Tear For Eddie and Brokedown Palace by the Grateful Dead were the only songs that resonated with me. Totally different, but similar vibes. Garry by Dean Ween Group is a similar vibe I always thought. check out the band of Gypsy’s album by Hendrix.
